Winter melon belongs to the Cucurbitaceae family, a plant commonly used in Vietnam, Thailand, India and other tropical countries.
Winter melon contains amino acids, mucins, mineral salts, vitamins B and C.. Studies on this fruit have identified two types of triterpenes, alunsenol and mutiflorenol, which have antioxidant effects.
